2 Department of Central Inspectorate for quality safeguarding and anti-fraud of foodstuff and agricultural products (ICQRF)  ICQRF is the Law Enforcement Body of the MiPAAF ICQRF Mission  Preventing and combating any breach of European and Italian laws relating to agri-food and farm supply products Carring out Official Controls Imposing sanctions Authorizing private or public control bodies Supervising the activities of control bodies

4 Main international activities #1 “Vertical Bio”  ICQRF and GdF (revenue Police) dismantled an International criminal organization which had imported in Italy, from Moldova, Ukraine, India, cereals (in particular, soy, corn, wheat and flax) for animal and human consumption, falsely certified as organic  Activity coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Pesaro INDIA

5 “ex officio protection” (Reg. EU no. 1151/2012, art. 13)  ICQRF is the national Authority responsible for taking steps to prevent or stop the unlawful use of protected GIs  ICQRF has established “the ex officio Protection Unit”  This Unit sends notifications to/receive them from others European designated Authorities Main international activities #2
