CPs do not need to verify again compliance pursuant to UN Regulations included into the IWVTA list.

4. 4 Proposal for Provisions of UN R0 In the first implementation step IWVTA is only a partial vehicle approval, meaning that for national/regional type approval it will have to be supplemented by certification to additional national/regional requirements (UN Regulations, other national/regional requirements) which are not covered by the IWVTA list. National authorities of CPs applying UN Regulation No. 0 shall use either IWVTA as a part of the compliance process for the purpose of the vehicle national/regional type approval and only request proof of compliance for those requirements not certified by that particular IWVTA. For those UN Regulations, included into IWVTA list, which set provisions for systems mandatory for some CPs and not mandatory for other CPs, lack of a type approval for a such system shall lead to issuance of IWVTA of limited recognition. However, if the “if fitted” systems are installed voluntarily, then they must meet the requirements of UN Regulations and be type approved.
