Why? “Can humans fly?” – the answer seems simple, and nobody thinks to question it because it’s deemed “silly” and “CRAZY” Is asking questions crazy? Is exploring every possible answer silly?

Humans are born to explore, It’s who we are – always wanting to find out knowledge and never giving up! Flying is the greatest ambition any human can dream of, and now – We will do our own exploring - and find our answers, ourselves

Bird Anatomy Which Aids Flight. Birds are one of the few animals that have developed the ability to fly. Every part from the skeleton to the feathers has evolved to aid in flight. The bones are hollow This makes them light while still making them strong enough for flight. The tail consisting entirely of feathers aids in moving. Our bone structure is very different from birds and we also don ’ t have feathers.

Observation of Our Wings

Variation of wing shapes

Inspirations The diagrams of the different wing shapes on the previous slide, gave us the idea for our own wings. Specifically Niamhíns.

VIDEO!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V bFuATrwiQM

Results Because we didn’t try and jump around without wings, and because we all jumped at different strengths anyway, we could not calculate which wings flew better… But none of the wings actually flew..so it didn’t really matter…

Conclusion Humans cannot fly!
