Be a man - the mask you live in.  What impact can gender stereotyping have on teenage girls or boys?  Why do you think it’s important not to stereotype someone because of their gender?

4.  Look at the images you have been given and watch this video  That's so gay! That's so gay!  If you wouldn’t use racially discriminative words… why should you use homophobic words?  Discuss the impact of the video with your peers

5.  Look at the image on the next slide  All of the words on the image are used in a negative way towards people  All of the words or phrases make a negative judgement because of someone’s ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality or ability.  How many do you use without thinking about it?  How can we challenge the use of these words in school?

7.  All of these words are words of discrimination.  They are all words of hate.  They don’t belong in school – so we need to stop using them.  Instead try to use positive words of empowerment – like the ones on the sheet you’ve been given.
