2. THE WORLD CUP HISTORY  The world cup was started in 1930. It is celebrated every four years.  The world cup is for international teams and there are 209 eligible teams.  All the teams can not make it to the World Cup because they have to qualify.  Each host team has a mascot this year it was a armadillo.

3. FACTS OF THE WORLD CUP  All the players that play in different leagues play for there national team.  You play with teammates that are from your country.  The world cup is one of the mostly viewed sport events.  The ball is one of the most important parts of the World Cup.

4. THE WORLD CUP BALL.  The ball is always important for the World Cup.  Every year it is a different ball design.  Each game they use the same ball.  The ball is not just The World ball Cup ball it always gets a different name.

5. THE WORLD CUP PLACE  Every four years there is a stadium that the teams choose to be the host team.  They only play in the stadiums of the host teams country.  This year the host team was Brazil.  In 2018 the host team will be Russia.  The host is automatically in the World Cup.

6. THE WORLD CUP AWARDS  Every World cup finalist gets a medal.  The highest award for the World Cup is the Champion Team award.  Another award is the Fifa fair play award this goes to the team who plays fair the most.  There are 5 awards in the World Cup and they are all different.  They are the golden glove, the golden boot, and the golden ball, the Fifa young player award.
