God has chosen to be present in us as Christians and as Church – we are incarnate people, with a redemptive purpose. Key Skill –Understanding our redemptive purpose

Why the difference? –Changes in culture –Changes in how we do ‘Church’ What are the implications for the Church today? “I am the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14:6)

Consider Paul’s instructions to: – “eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy” 1 Corinthians 14:1 –and to discern “the good works which God prepared in advance for us to do” Ephesians 2:10
