Why should we use a wiki  Lets you collaborate online  Improve and democratise communication  Every user gets a voice and everyone's contribution is seen, heard, and can be commented upon  Information gets to the right people  Makes it easy to keep all your information current and accurate  Information is dynamic  Keeps your information safe – logs who did what and when, view changes made by different users or rollback to previous versions  Becomes a repository of knowledge that evolves

8. How we make a wiki  Firstly we must have a purpose  a new culture of communication and information sharing  a communication tool for the hub  Start with a basic structure and build on as it evolves  calendar, workplans, reports, meetings, collaborative work on documents, eg. Strategic Communication Plan  wikis within wikis, security  Clearly outline the guidelines for use and disclaimers  Select a suitable software (depending on features)  Set up user logins  Encourage you to use it and see the advantages
