He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness! 4 And by that same mighty power, he has given us all of his rich and wonderful promises. He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in his divine nature.

15. Now add to your faith:  Goodness – live a live or moral excellence and integrity  Knowledge – continuing our pursuit to know and understand God and His Word  Self-control – controlling our emotions, our actions, and our reactions

16. Now add to your faith:  Perseverance – standing firm when it is difficult  Godliness – seeking to respond to life in God honoring ways  Kindness – treating people with respect and kindness and patience  Love – sincere love demonstrated through actions, not just words
