4 Online Databases Start at www.MyLibrary.us (or from this site on one of Michener Library’s “Library Guides”: http://libguides.unco.edu/content.php?pid=1302& sid=7590 )www.MyLibrary.us http://libguides.unco.edu/content.php?pid=1302& sid=7590 Select the “Online Now” tab Choose the “A-Z Database List” if you know which one you want to use, or Scroll down to the “eResearch by Subject” section and Select the appropriate Subject heading and then a subheading.

5 Remote Access Many of our databases are available outside of the library; just click on the “remote access” button to the right of the database you want to use. Type in your library card number at the log-in page. Scroll down the list on the left to choose the database.

7 Try these out: Novelist K-8 –Fiction Readers Advisory for Children and Young Adults: All of the features of NoveList are presented especially for Easy, Children, and Young Adult readers. Searchasaurus –Resources for kids primary through middle school. You will find a general encyclopedia, dictionary, primary and middle school searches of magazine articles and encyclopedia of animals. Searchasaurus is visual, fun and colorful. Tumblebook Library –TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks, animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read or have read to you.
