Making it Personal Troy’s father left him when he was born, his mom used drugs when he was little, but she didn’t do drugs when he went to school. Drugs were everywhere around him – he also did marijuana because of his cousin, and his friends were involved; many of who injected heroin. Troy kept snorting it to feel the ‘joy’ and ‘relief’. It didn’t work, so his friend lent him needles so that he could inject it. When he was 19, he was arrested for having heroin. He would’ve faced four years in jail, but they offered him to a probation officer to take a drug test every week. He took a rehabilitation and he worked out with the program. He was off of Heroin.

Christian WorldView Perspective
We think that God might not approve of heroin. Christians shouldn’t be using it because if we would like ‘joy’ or ‘relief’, we should pray to God to help us with our difficulties. We shouldn’t be taking drugs to feel happy.

Christian WorldView w/ the Bible
“19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Why this verse? We have to honor our body, don’t we? Taking heroin is a way of destroying it. WE WERE BOUGHT AT A PRICE.
