3. Two truths for Gods People 1. They are sent ones: (apostellein), with authority, to carry out Christs mission. Jesus was sent by the Father. His mission is shown in Luke 4:16-21. He commissioned the Twelve in Matthew 10:1, 8) and the seventy (Luke 9:1-6 and 10:1- 12), then all his disciples to go in his own power and authority: As the Father has sent me, so I send you (John 20:20-21).
