Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots as a potent agent in lowering Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4)

As of the current situation in our country, people have a high amount of uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) in their body suffer so many bad condition such as gout and Uric acid stone formation. In which many have no enough budget for the medicine same as the condition of many Filipinos who suffer from poverty and crisis, as a result this condition get more critical and may cause of human death. Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots as a potent agent in lowering Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) . The advantage of using medicine for lowering this acid is that you were able to use less time and effort in preparing those pills. But the inconvenient truth is that people are suffering much poverty in buying those medicines. The study of Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots as a potent agent in lowering Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) gives a solution to these problem.

Statement of the problem

The primary purpose of the study is to ascertain the effect of cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) in lowering Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) Specifically it will answer the question: Is cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots were able to lessen the amount of Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) in a human’s body? Is cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots effect is friendly in human’s body?

Objective of the study

general objective The study aimed to know the effects of cogon grass (Imperata cylindrical) roots as a potent agent in lowering uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4)

specific objectives The study aimed the following:
To perform the study more safer To integrate and share the study specially in poor peoples To share good and great way to save money by using herbal plant for our country’s progress

Hypothesis

Based on the research problem, the researcher formulated the following hypothesis:
There is no significant effect of cogon grass (Imperata cylindrical) in lowering Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) There is no significant effect of cogon grass (imperata cylindrical) to be a human body friendly.

Significance of the study

The inconvenience brought by so many expenses brings by those expensive medicines on us specially in the province of Agusan del Sur, Philippines. In general, the study provides a solution to this problem. Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrical) is found in areas where the soil has been disturbed, such as roadsides, building sites, timber harvesting areas, and borrows pits. It is able to invade both moist and dry upland pine forests. Once established it often forms dense monocultures. It is commonly found in east and southeast Asia, India, Micronesia, Australia, and eastern and southern Africa. So this study is significant in environment in many aspects, especially to many people in the Philippines.

Scope and delimitation

This study exploit cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) roots in humans infected with high uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4). The researcher collected every require material in P-5 Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, Philippines In which a groups of cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica), And was been wash and boiled. Transfer it in a clean bottle.

Conceptual framework

The required ingredients was gathered wash and then boiled
transfer on a clean bottle

Definition of terms

Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrical) –
commonly known as cogon grass (pronounced /ˌkɒɡʉn/), kunai grass (pronounced /kuːnaɪ/), or Japanese bloodgrass, is a species of grass in the genus Imperata. It is placed in the subfamily Panicoideae, supertribe Andropogonodae, tribe Andropogoneae. It is a perennial rhizomatous grass native to east and southeast Asia, India, Micronesia, Australia, and eastern and southern Africa. It grows from 0.6–3 m (2–10 feet) tall. The leaves are about 2 cm wide near the base of the plant and narrow to a sharp point at the top; the margins are finely toothed and are embedded with sharp silica crystals. The main vein is a lighter colour than the rest of the leaf and tends to be nearer to one side of the leaf. The upper surface is hairy near the base of the plant while the underside is usually hairless. Roots are up to 1.2 meters deep, but 0.4 m is typical in sandy soil.

Uric acid (C5 H4 N4 O4) – is a heterocyclic compound of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen with the formula C5H4N4O3. Uric acid is created when the body breaks down purine nucleotides.

Methodology

uric acid reduction Uric acid is a fundamental part in human blood plasma. Uric acid, however, has been known to cause any number of diseases when in too high or too low of concentrations. When it is above and below the normal range they are known as hyperuricemia and hypouricemia respectively. Uric acid concentrations in urine above and below normal are known as hyperuricosuria and hypouricosuria respectfully. Probably most recognizable of high uric acid is gout. Gout is a type of arthritis where crystal like pockets of uric acid precipitate in the joints and capillaries causing excruciating pain. Gout can occur when an individual's uric acid serum level reaches 6 mg/dL, but an individual can have serum values as high as 9.6 mg/dL and not have gout. There are many ways to reduce uric acid in case of gout, as it may be treated with lithium salts, or a change in diet. However, too low of uric acid concentrations may also have detrimental side effects. In a few recent studies, it has been shown that there is a link between low uric acid levels and Multiple sclerosis.
