Acts 2:25- 28 Can You Say in Your Life What David Said About God in His Life?

Scripture Acts 2:25-28 (NIV) 25 David said about him: "'I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope,

Scripture Continued 27 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

Point # 1 If God is always with us, then He is present in every place of our life, so we just like David should be steadfast in our faith whatever the situation. 25 David said about him: "'I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Point # 2 My heart should be filled with gladness just like David's heart; and it should reveal itself to me and to others by what comes out of my mouth. 26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices...

Point # 3 There should be no doubt in my mind, just like there was no doubt in David's mind, that the grave won't keep us down and that our home at death is heaven. 26... my body also will live in hope, 27 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

Point # 4 Just like David I have not always seen the right paths to take and I need God to show the right paths to me and to walk with me along them. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

Conclusion Can you say what David said about his life? 1. I am steadfast in my faith because God's presence is always near to me and I recognize it. 2. I know my heart is filled with gladness because the words that proceed from my mouth are pleasant and not bitter.

Conclusion (Continued) 3. I know with certainty that heaven is my home. 4. I allow God to pick the paths of life I walk along and I know His presence is there with me. If you cannot say that is you- there is an altar you can come to- and get it right with God.
