McKeown Group OpenFlow v1.0 Weekly Status Report Week1/2011 (01/05 Wed—01/11 Tue) 1
2
Action Plan Install FV, OIM Wired Update FlowVisor Demo network Problem survey / debug current network Merge in ofwifi network Test opt-in/expts Remove ofwifi overlap + use HP Dec Week 1 Dec Week 2 Dec Week 3 Dec Week 4 Jan Week 1 Jan Week 2 Jan Week 3 Jan Week 4 Nov Week 4 User experience survey Test bandwidth and CPU slicing Trial of Netgear switch and Beacon controller Easy start Debug all errors Wireless Finishing new image Finishing new image Deploy New Measurement Stabilize/Debug issues Plan/design new authentication Deploy New auth Deploy New auth Stabilize/Debug issues for new auth Plan/design Packard/CIX deploy Plan/design Packard/CIX deploy 11n for 3A 11n for 3A Overall production Rollout new SNAC
3
Status Update WIRED Pkt-in loop in NEC – Added SNAC debugging messages. – Finally found the bug. Fixed this morning (but need to check this is a real fix). Merging ofwifi and production wired network – Doing today Upgraded FlowVisor and it is more stable with low flow setup time 3
4
Status Update DEMO NETWORK Removed ofwifi overlap on necsw Moved hpsw4 in place of necsw3 (which will be used for testing) 4
5
Status Update WIRELESS New flowvisor has reduced flow setup time. Once it was very unstable but now it is stablized Still experiencing fluctuating flow setup time – Will work on with Rob to debug this issue Other buildings – Packard: All 15 Aps reflash/configuration done. 1 AP has Flash Card issue. Need to be replaced.. Will connect to Gates ofwifi network once it is stablized – CIS: 5 Aps are flashed Will work with Joe to install them 5
6
Performance Summary WIRED NETWORK Everything is normal – New FV reduced the flow setup time to normal Slow downlink speed from the Internet – Not OpenFlow network issue. Stanford network has some issue
7
Performance Summary WIRELESS NETWORK Unstable due to the new FlowVisor’s unstablility – Resolved yesterday Fluctuating flow setup time – New FlowVisor reduced flow setup time, but still experiencing fluctuating time Slow downlink speed from the Internet – Not OpenFlow network issue. Stanford network has some issue
