5 Salary The Maryland relay operator get about $63,000 a year. The California relay operators get about $52,000 a year. The New York relay operators get about $69,000 a year.

6 Job Outlook We believe relay operators are going to continue to be successful in their job. –They always get calls from the deaf, hard-of- hearing, and the speech impaired. –The people are not losing their jobs so, their jobs aren’t in trouble of shutting down due to no employees.

7 Education They train on the job, meaning there is no education required to be an operator except to be able to type and spell correctly.
