3 Leonardo Da Vinci Birthplace: Vinci, Italy Born: April 15, 1452 Death place: Amboise, France Died: May 2, 1519 Cause of death: no one knows Leonardo and a guy named Salami got together when the boys were 10 and were together for 26 years

4 What did Leonardo Da Vinci do? Leonardo Da Vinci was an architect and a scientist. He was a musician, he played the lyre. A lyre is a stringed instrument in the harp family. As an engineer he made things like clocks. He invented a calculator Leonardo also sketched the 1 st : parachute, helicopter, aeroplane, tank, repeating rifle, swinging bridge, paddle boat, and motor car. Leonard also designed machines for war.

6 Facts It took Leonardo about 10 years to paint the Mona Lisa’s lips. Leonardo invented the bicycle about 300 years before it appeared on the road. He would wear pink to make his complexion look fresh. Leonardo invented scissors. Leonardo was also a sculptor, costume designer, mathematician and botanist. ( A botanist is someone who specializes in the study of plants.)
