NGfL CYMRU GCaD www.ngfl-cymru.org.uk Assignment: E23.1 Ensemble Research Produce a simple booklet entitled ‘Musical Ensembles’ Choose five different musical ensemble from the following: orchestra, brass band, wind band, chamber ensembles, rock/pop/jazz groups, folk bands, vocal groups (choirs, barbershop, chamber) For each ensemble explain the following The instruments / Voices in the ensemble The type of music they play (with examples) An example of an actual ensemble in that area An example and description of music for that ensemble An account of how the group prepares for a performance. You might want to consider the following roles: performer, conductor, director & manager
