All the activities and functions concerned with the attainment of quality in a company including safety Other terms include Quality Management Programme (QMP) Quality Management System (QMS) Total Quality Management (TQM) ??

“..those procedures for a particular manufacturing operation which practitioners of, and experts in, that operation consider to be the best available using current knowledge.” Also called Pre-requisite Programmes Now mostly associated with hygiene/sanitation SSOP (Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures) but also other company functions storage practices, incoming material, equipment maintenance, cold store management, etc.
