Strategies to support assessment: Use of traffic lights in planners Mini whiteboards in planners All students have a green pen – used for peer/self assessment Swap it over – teacher completes student response to student’s self assessment Student responses used as H/L to allow in depth responses/redrafting

Results: Consistent use of the stamp across all department areas Better understanding of exam criteria by students More effective planning based on robust assessment Recent book review week saw an increase in: Peer/Self review being used WWW/EBI being used to good effect Students closing the assessment loop More use and correction of literacy Plus students really like it!
