Gaps in CI research n Few studies on relevant estimator variables (alcohol, weapon presence, race, emotion, exposure) and delay. n 17% of studies had a delay of 1-2 weeks; only 3% employing a delay of over 2 weeks. The majority (48%) of studies have a delay period between 24- 72 hours and 31% have no delay or a very brief (minutes) delay.
