9 EMAT for 2011-2012 Closed April 27 th EMAT reopens May 7 th for 2012-2013

10 Districts and open-enrollment charter schools will be unable to submit requisition or disbursement requests; however, the EMAT system will provide access to the IMA TEKS Certification process.

11 Instructional Materials Allotment & TEKS Certification Form must be completed before a district can submit a requisition or disbursement request for the 2012-2013 school year

12 2012 – 2013 district allotment will include the 30% calculated amount for the biennium and any unexpended IMA funds from the 2011 – 2012 school year

13 2012 – 2013 will also include a calculation to settle-up the Technology Allotment from fiscal year 2011 settle-up calculation will conclude the process for the final year of the Technology Allotment funds

14 Summary The funds in the IMA roll forward so there is no deadline to spend the 2011-2012 IMA. TEA is closing the EMAT system between April 27th and May 6th. When it opens on May 7th your district's 2012-2013 funds will be added to your IMA account. TEA will roll any remaining funds left in your Technology Allotment into your IMA account. 16 66.105 (a) Prior to the beginning of each school year, each school district and open-enrollment charter school shall submit to the State Board of Education (SBOE) and commissioner of education certification that for each subject in the *required* curriculum *under the Texas Education Code, 28.002, other than physical education*, and each grade level, the district or charter school provides each student instructional materials that cover all elements of the essential knowledge and skills adopted by the SBOE. The certification shall be submitted in a format approved by the commissioner of education. *Upon request by the commissioner of education, the certification shall include supporting documentation describing the instructional materials on which the certification is based. *
