In plant cells, the cell plate forms to begin the new cell wall in between the daughter cells. b. In animal cells, the cleavage furrow serves to pinch off the two new daughter cells

One chromosome from the pair is from the mother and the other from the father. b.This cell’s karyotype is diploid (2N), meaning that the cell has a pair of homologous chromosomes. c.A cell is haploid (1N) if it only has one set of chromosomes. This is true of gametes (egg and sperm)
