3 ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS  One of the largest school districts in the country with 87,000 students  11 comprehensive high schools  5 have Bilingual programs at different stages

5 NM GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS  4 English  4 Math  3 Lab Science  3 Social Studies  1 PE  9 Elective credit  1 concurrent, online, or advanced placement/honor class  25 total credits

6 ELL PROGRAM  Students are tested in ACCESS from WIDA.  Testing has been more organized in the last two years  30 students this year tested out of ELL status  Non Spanish ELL are followed in their classes  Limited access to Spanish while in a ELL status  Spanish LA a must for all ELL’s whose home language is Spanish to continue to develop home language literacy, a transferable skill  Encouragement, Encouragement and más!
