Christ We Are Complete In Him www.worshipharvest.org

RECAP - Col 1:19-22 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight —
3
Col 2:1-3 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,
4
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Ministry is a call to contend for people’s souls; stuff just won’t happen. We have to be intentional. The primary approach to ministry must be encouragement. The first and most important fruit of ministry must be love, and then knowledge and understanding.
5
Col 2:4-5 4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. Deception is the devil’s best game. He isn’t at all powerful, but he is sly. We must be established in the knowledge of Christ in us not to be deceived.
6
Eph 6:11 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 2 Cor 11:3 3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
7
Col 2:6-7 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. The same way we received Christ; by faith, is the same way we should walk in Him. We should be rooted and grow in Him till we are abounding in faith.
8
Eph 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Rom 5:8 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9
Gal 3:1-3 3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
10
Col 2:8 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Beware (be at war); declare war on deception and tradition posing as the “Gospel”. It is wrong for us to just be passive “smokers” of these schemes that have led to so much pain.
11
Mark 7:13 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do." Rom 12:2 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
12
Col 2:9-10 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. All of the divine nature was invested in Christ, and all of Christ was invested in us (the Church), and we are complete. We just need to start exercising some of our divine nature, we don’t need more.
13
John 1:16 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. Eph 1:22-23 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
14
2 Peter 1:3-4 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
