2  Born in Bangladesh on June 28, 1940, Chittagong.  Economics lecturer at Chittagong University  Established Grameen Bank a Microfinance model followed all over the world now  Yunus and Grameen bank won the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2006.

3 1. Believed credit was a right for every human, be it poor or rich. 2. Poor are more reliable borrowers. 3. Developed the concept of Microcredit and Microfinance, through which he led the poor people out of poverty

4 1. Started the micro credit campaign with the poor basket weaving women of Bangladesh. 2. Started issuing credit without any collateral. 3. Introduced a 16 decision model for the people of Bangladesh, to pave their way out of poverty. 4. Also introduced 10 indicators which acted as a bridge to move from BPL to APL for the Bangladeshis.

5 1. Consistent and Resilience. 2. Courage. 3. Scale and Oppurtunitism. 4. Relentless networking and giving people time. 5. Ability to turn complex thing simpler.

6 1. Introduced bicycle bankers with considerable delegated authority to make banking available in the remote parts. 2. He did opposite, what the banks did. 3. Had clear vision and taught the poor people how one can be a leader by showing them the very basic way of how to lead ones life. 4. His leadership results can be seen from the millions of smiling faces today, of the Grameen Bank members.
