SWOT Analysis -- Pune Section Strengths Pune Section has 4 Chapters – COMSOC, Computer, PES/IES Chapter, Signal Processing Pune Section has an active WIE Affinity Group There are 19 IEEE Student Branches in different Engineering Colleges in and around Pune City. Large number of programs conducted regularly Pune Section has an energetic Executive Committee Weaknesses Young section,established only in June 2010 Opportunities Pune hosts several universities and well-known institutions, and research organizations. Pune city houses large number of industries in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), automobile, electrical, electronics, forging, foundries and other engineering Industries. Pune is a hub of Automotive Industry Threats Membership fee of IEEE higher than many other Professional societies
