Isaiah 40:31

9 Those Who Wait On The Lord
Isaiah 40:31

10 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
Wait Till Marriage Wait for intimate relationship (He.13:4) Wait for true help meet (Ge.2:18)

11 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
Wait For Their Home (Ph.3:19-21)

12 Philippians 3:19-21 (19) whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things. (20) For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

13 Philippians 3:19-21 (21) who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

14 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
Wait For Their Home (Ph.3:19-21) Like the fathers of faith (He.11:13-16)

15 Hebrews 11:13-16 (13) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

16 Hebrews 11:13-16 (14) For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland.

17 Hebrews 11:13-16 (15) And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. (16) But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

18 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
Wait For Their Home (Ph.3:19-21) Like the fathers of faith (He.11:13-16) Invest our treasure in our home (Mt.6:19-21) (Hag.1:3-11)

19 Matthew 6:19-21 (19) "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

20 Matthew 6:19-21 (20) "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. (21) "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

21 Haggai 1:3-9 (3) Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, (4) "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?" (5) Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways!

22 Haggai 1:3-9 (6) "You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes."

23 Haggai 1:3-9 (7) Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Consider your ways!
(8) "Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified," says the LORD.

24 Haggai 1:3-9 (9) "You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.

25 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
Wait Till Marriage (Heb.13:4) Wait For Their Home (Phil.3:19-21)

26 Those Who Wait On The Lord…
The Lord waited on me… I should be willing to wait on Him! But DO NOT wait to obey the gospel (Ac.22:16) And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
