4 Eligibility and Procedures Our services are available to spouses and partners of current or potential general campus ladder-rank faculty. 8 Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC) Another major initiative of the POP program is the establishment of the Southern California Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, also known as HERC. HERC was started in Northern California by the Partner Opportunity Coordinator at UCSC. The UCSD POP program will be administering the Southern California HERC. 9 HERC cont. The consortium will give us the opportunity to come together on a quarterly basis to discuss issues related to recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty and staff.
