Survey Results Q1: How many meals do you take per day? a)2 or less (6 chose this option) b)3 (21 chose this option) c)4 (7 chose this option) d)Others (5 chose this option with reasonable answers) Funny Answers Given By Some Participants: -Over 9000 -100000 -200  -110 

How many meals should you eat a day as recommended? The healthiest daily diet for us teenagers is about 3 meals a day. Having only 2 meals a day is definitely too little for our growth and having more than 4 is also unacceptable because it is too much over our limit of energy usage, which may result in weight gain which in turn leads to obesity, unless it refers to 5-6 Small Meals, usually consisting of only snacks.

Survey Results Q2: Do you know of the nutritional value in the food that you eat? a)Yes (4 chose this answer) b)No (19 chose this answer) c)Maybe (16 chose this answer) Funny Answers: -NA-

Do You Know The Nutritional Value In Your Meals? It seems like hardly any participants chose the answer for (Yes), while most of the participants actually chose (No). It’s not a surprise, though, as most teens nowadays are not concerned about the nutritional value of the food that they eat, for examples, potatoes, which has a very high level of starch. As taken in The Straits Times (Friday, June 24, 2011): “The biggest culprit of weight gain is often eaten in the biggest quantities, because starch, like refined grain and sugar, is less satisfying, so you eat more”

Q3: How many hours in a week do you spend on exercising? a)1 hour And Below (17 Votes) b)3 hours (11 Votes) c)7 hours (5 Votes) d)Others: (5 Votes) Funny Answers: -Over 9000 -1 minute Survey Results

How many hours do you exercise every week? It seems like almost half the participants exercise for about an hour or less in a week. The recommended exercising duration for exercise is: 2-3 times a week; 1 hour a day This makes a total of 2-3 hours a day, where 11 people had voted for this. Exercising doesn’t only mean that you spend time “exercising your fingers” by playing your favourite computer games, but you should also go down for a cycle or swim when you are free.

Q4: Do you think that you are living a healthy lifestyle? a)Yes (9 Votes) b)No (6 Votes) c)Maybe (21 Votes) d)Other (2 Votes with reasonable answers) Funny answers: -NA- Survey Results

Q5: When Do You Eat? a)When I am hungry (24 Votes) b)When I am tempted to eat (6 Votes) c)When I think I am hungry (5 Votes) d)Others: (3 Votes with reasonable answers) Funny Answers: -NA-

Survey Results Q6: Does the word Obesity Frighten You? a)Yes (17 Votes) b)No (16 votes) c)Others (5 Votes with reasonable explanation) Funny Answer: -NA-

Does the word ‘Obesity’ frighten you? There was hardly any difference between the two answers. 17 votes for “Yes” and 16 for “No”. Why do so many people vote for ‘No’? Research had shown that many people are not aware of the problem caused by obesity or they do not think that they will become obese, thinking that “No matter how much I eat I will still stay slim”. If you are one of those who think that way, then it’s better to research on obesity.

Survey Results Q7: Do you consume fast food often? a)Yes, 2-3 times a week (9 Votes) b)Yes, 4-6 times a week (4 Votes) c)No, 1 time a week (9 Votes) d)No, I seldom visit fast food restaurants (6 Votes) * Note: The ‘Others’ category has been removed for this question.

Do you consume fast food often? Many people in the class consume fast food more often than the recommended fast food intake per week. The recommended fast food intake is 1 time per week, while quite a few had chosen 2-3 times a week, and some even more. Fast food are notorious for being the culprit of a society of people who are more obese, and it is due to the fact that they contain a lot of unhealthy ingredients such as a whole lot of salt and a lot of oil is used in the cooking process.

Survey Results Q8: Do you enjoy sports? a)Yes (21 Votes) b)No (6 votes) c)Others (5 Votes) Unaccepted answers: -Maybe 

Do you spend more time on Social Networking? Youths of today like to go online to social networks to say out their troubles and complaints, while some uses it often to chat with their friends. But by being hooked into social networks, it may cause you to lose total interest in your studies and exercise. You may get the feeling of not wanting to go outdoors to play or exercise. So, refrain from using these sites as often as you can! Via web, 1 minute ago tweet 140 Tweets: 100 Log in
