Sustainable Energy Education (SEE) SEE is a project aimed at educating disadvantaged communities in underdeveloped regions, to build their own sustainable energy grid from readily available resources. Caroline Murphy
Layout and Design As an iPad application, SEE will reach a larger portion of its target audience. The application will include 3D animated videos, step by step instructions, galleries containing tutorial pictures and tips for accommodating to your location. The proposed app will use a typical universal apple-style user interface.
Content and Research Hydro equipment such as a Trompe (see diagram), are extremely universal as long as there is some water source available. Many materials can be used to create something similar to this. Research credit: www.motherearthnews.com
Content and Research A homemade wind turbine can be created using scrap materials The basic utensils for this are: 1. A Generator 2. Blades 3. A mounting to keep it facing into the wind 4. Development for iPad Know the iPad’s capabilities (split view/popover/custom keyboard/gesture recognition).
