1 The Do’s And Don'ts For Being A Respectful Person
By Clayton Friddle

2 Here is a basic quiz to find out how respectful you are.
Do you treat other people the way you want to be treated. Are you considerate of other people. Do you treat people with civility, courtesy, and dignity. Do you accept personal differences. Do you work to solve problems without violence. Are you ever purposefully ridicule, embarrass, or hurt other people. Do you think you are/not a respectful person because of: ______________________

3 Common mistakes Some times, people try to hard to be respectful. just be yourself. Sort of. Never go way out of your way to help, if you try to hard, you will mess up and hurt your own cause. Always ask before you help, some people are very independent and will get insulted if you assume they can’t do something

4 Basic help If you see someone walking behind you, hold the door.
Ladies first, you won’t lose your group if you wait a minute just jog to catch back up to them after. If you are given money, they won’t let you give it back, so tell them “it’s to much,” I can’t take this” and after a few tries, give up and take the money. They will think you a better and nicer person.

5 Effort [not family advice]
No matter what you do, you will either look like your trying to hard, or not hard enough. What you have to do is not show off, or get lazy. Do the work and you will be rewarded in the long run. Always judge the task. Say you have been asked to rake the leaves, specify beforehand if they want them bagged. ALWAYS WORK AT A COMFORTABLE PACE! you can never tell how long something is going to take, so work at a pace that won’t tire you out. That way, you can do less work, in more time and they will thank and love you the same.
