4  Depends on the r2 (coefficient of determination). The closer the r2 is to one 1, the more confident we can make our predictions (more linear).  Also depends on the limits of the data set. We do not want to extrapolate too far off the data range, otherwise the accuracy of a prediction is not reliable.
