4 The Scheme will: – Assist individuals to identify goals and aspirations and to develop comprehensive plans to achieve those goals – Fund reasonable and necessary supports – Better link individuals to mainstream services and assist services – Direct investment towards evidence based interventions – Assist in reducing social constraints of disability What will an NDIS do?  C HOICE  C ONTROL  S AFEGUARDS  S UPPORT WHERE NEEDED

9 Co-design is a process working with people to explore what people want in a system, what is possible and what is viable It means local involvement, small representative groups, detailed focus questions and facilitated with the help of people with disability Co-design  C HOICE  C ONTROL  S AFEGUARDS  S UPPORT WHERE NEEDED
