2 Project Purpose To more clearly facilitate non-residential urban wind turbines Industrial Areas Commercial Areas Special Purpose Areas (parks, schools, infrastructure) To define application requirements To define how applications will be evaluated To coordinate with other agencies with authority Development & Building Approvals May 20132

Project focus is on non-residential areas Trial areas and pilot projects Potential for lesser impacts on adjacent landowners Larger parcels may allow for mitigation options Future project phase likely to address residential parcels In the meantime, applications can be made will be evaluated as “Power Generation Facilities” Development & Building Approvals May 20133
