E.M. Silage-improver E.M. Silage compared to other silage products on the U.K. market

E.M. Silage improver Ph Time 6,5 Ph 4,2 Ph 3,8 Micro-organisms are making acids out of sugars

E.M. Silage improver Purpose of silage additives. - Fast Ph dropping < 4,2 - Save the energy. - Prevents heating. Stimulates the fermentation proceses

Research Silage additives I.D.-D.L.O. E.M. Silage improver -What is the effect of the product. - How does the product work. - What is going on with the feed during fermentation. - What is happening during the fermentation. -Which are the most important fermentation processes..

Products based on acids Products based on micro-organisms. E.M. Silage improver Ph drops very fast. No fermentation will take place.Sugars stay as they were before. Ph is dropping by fermentation processes. Sugars etc will be changed in acids an other fermentation products. Acts well also with very low sugar content. There has to be sugar available.

Molasses E.M. Silage improver Molasses is added to raise the sugar content. Lactic acid bacteria are eating this sugar and making lactic acid out of it. The grass will not actually be fermented. The pH will drop rather fast. When the wrong micro-organisms are present they will be fed by the same sugar. A very bad silage will be the result.

Products based on acids Products based on lactic acid bacteria. E.M. Silage improver - Topform - Foraform - Kovasil - Biomax - Pioneer 1188 - Biocool - Ecosil

The use of acids. E.M. Silage improver - When there are no sugars left. - Aggressive for materials and humans. - pH drops fast no fermentation occurs. No conversion ( Taste ?? )

Using micro-organisms E.M. Silage improver - They need sugars for fermentation. - Changing sugars and other carbon hydrates into organic acids and other fermentation products.( Taste improving ) - They won’t work without sugars. - Harmless for machinery and men.

E.M. Silage improver Acids won’t give a better feed profit. They just do some conservation. No fermentation. !!!!! Micro-organisms will improve the feed return into milk !!!!! ( Look what is going on when you are drinking your beer !!!)

Dilemma of using micro-organisms E.M. Silage improver - Good weather forecasts. Farmer says :” I dont need an additive.” -After a few bad days the sugar is gone. Bacterial products won’t do the job anymore. Solution: Use EM Silage standard !!

EM Silage standard ???. Why not ??? E.M. Silage improver - A lot of work ???? - Is it always necessary??. - PRICE !!!

Research Silage additives I.D.-D.L.O. E.M. Silage improver -What is the effect of the product. - How does the product works. - What is going on with the feed during fermentation. - What is happening during the fermentation. -Which are the most important fermentation processes..

E.M. Silage improver E.M. Silage is more than only lactic acid bacteria it contains Yeasts too. Yeast species can convert sugars and polycacharoses into alcohols and other fermentation products as heat reducers.

Lactic acid Bacteria.E.M. Silage E.M. Silage improver -Convert sugars almost only into lactic acid. This acid reduces the pH. - Lactic acid bacteria of different species and yeasts converting sugars and other polysacharoses into a wide range of fermentation products which improves the convertability of the feed and improves the taste. = Silage improver

Not fermentedFermented E.M. Silage improver Grape juice Barley, Yeast and Water Flour, Yeast and Water Soja and Water Wine. Beer. Bread. Ketjap. Adding acid to grape juce doesn’t convert it into wine !!!!!

EM Silage standard ???. Why not ??? E.M. Silage improver - A lot of work ???? - Is it always necessary??. - PRICE !!!

E.M. Silage improver Application of E.M. Silage A) Dilute 2 liters of EM Silage into 100 liters of not too cold water. B) 4 liters of dilution is used per 1000 kg product. ( After making the dilution it will keep for 24 hours)

Prices of silage improvers are average between 0.75 pounds (acids) up to 1,40 pounds per ton product. Maxgrass cost 3,5 pounds per ton. E.M. Silage improver

EM Silage costs less than 1 pound per ton. E.M. Silage improver

Advantages of EM Silage. E.M. Silage improver - Harmless for equipment and men. - Easy to use. - pH drops fast. - Taste improving = more intake. - Heat reducing. - Low investments. - Makes more energie available for the cow.
