4  Excuse their sin  Think that God will never forgive – Luke 17:3-4  Give up and throw away faith – Matt. 27:3-5  Reject the truth and the Savior – Heb. 6:4-6  There is a danger of ‘searing’ the conscience with evil

5  Understand the serious nature of sin – Isa. 59:1-2; Psa. 51:3-4  Sin is an insult to the holiness of God – I John 1:5-6  Repent and confess our sins – Psa. 51:1-3, 17  Will confess sins when willing to repent & change  Will confess sins when striving to walk in light  Be willing to forgive those who sin against us  Maintain our faith – Luke 22:31-32  Peter would fall to temptation and deny the Lord
