7 7 OCLC Online Computer Library Center Stuck in the middle… Vendor Asking for thought processes and information that are vaguely or not even yet to be defined Asking for standard or consistent information to make process of working with multiple parties easy and economically feasible As technologists, being asked to lead and set the standards in defining and implementing (either explicitly or implicitly) Asking for mental leap from p to e (recognizing and realizing the added value while respecting the existing value) Being asked for digital content with consistent and easy access methods and models As technologists, being perceived as the definer (not just the implementer)
