3 SW388R7 Data Analysis & Computers II Slide 3 Open the notes icon Copying SPSS Output to Word SPSS writes the syntax for the commands you select from the menus into the "Notes" section of the output. Double click on the 'Closed Book' notes icon to make the notes visible. Double clicking on an icon toggles it to be visible or hidden.

To copy the output to Word, we first select the text box by clicking on it. When an SPSS output item is selected, a red arrow points to it.

To correct the problem, delete this output and copy the objects from SPSS again. The pasted graphic picture may be too large to view in the Word document. If so, we can shrink the size of the picture.

If you leave the Lock aspect ratio checkbox marked, the Width spinner be changed at the same time. When you have selected the size you want, click on the OK button to close the dialog.
