2. Company History EK-Team was established in 1996 as a
Management-Buy-Out (MBO) from rotring®
due to stopping the NC–Scriber production
Two employees founded EK-Team in the
rotring® facilities in Hamburg

From technical drawings to labeling tags for the industry
EK-Team started 1998 with modified scriber for dedicated customer solutions
Writing directly on marker with etching ink

5. Development of new A3 sized plotter VP 500 and software VarioSign
Start of own development in 2002, first deliveries in 2003
EK-Team decided to design their own user-friendly software VarioSign to support all the features of the plotter system
“what you see is what you get”

6. Strong relationship with rotring®

Use parts for pen production as well as ink and other products

7. Injection molding from rotring® into EK-TEAM
In 2003 EK-Team took over the complete injection molding department from rotring®, with 12 machines able to run 24 hours unattended including tool maintenance and repair service.
