2. About us  Raasiku Municipality is located in Harju County 15 km from Estonian capital Tallinn  The total area is 158 sq. km  We have around 4700 inhabitants

About us (2)  The parish is surrounded by Jõelähtme in the North, by Anija in the east, by Kose in the south and by Rae parish in the west  The first records about Raasiku Municipality made in the Danish assessment register Liber Census Dania date back to 1241.  Raasiku Municipality was re-established on 12 March 1992.

4. Villages  We have 13 villages and the main ones are Aruküla (1987 inhabitants) and Raasiku (1304 inhabitants)

5. Schools We have 3 schools:  Aruküla Primary School – 240 pupils  Raasiku Primary School – 138 pupils  Pikavere Kindergarden/Primary School- 51 pupils Kindergartens We have 2:  Aruküla Kindergarten – 167 children  Raasiku Kindergarten – 52 children

6. Culture (1)  We have one Music School in Aruküla  5 libraries in Aruküla, Raasiku, Pikavere, Kiviloo and Peningi  2 Culture centers with many possibilities to see theatre plays, concerts; make handcraft; dance national dances etc.

7. Culture (2) Being involved in culture and hobby activities has kept people in touch with the past. In the parish there have been continuously practicing choirs, drama and folk- dancegroups. The best of them have always participated in the country-wide song and dance festivals.
