5. PowerPoint Web Site Topic: choose a historical event from the 20 th Century Make sure to narrow your thoughts. Chose one specific event. WWII is too large, but choosing a battle in WWII is good.

6. Requirements Minimum of 10 slides Slide 1 (Intro): Name, date, period, and title of presentation Slides 2-9: distribute information and media as appropriate Slide 10: Resources – list URL and web sites (hyperlinked) you used in your research and gathering media

7. Requirements Use slide transitioning Do not use sound in slide transitioning Limit info to bulleted points. Too much info is not ok? Font = easy to read (type and color), minimum of 28 pts., keep font type consistent Background = simple and doesnt distractive

Requirements Animations: use custom animations but assure they do not distract from the message youre trying to convey Graphics: use appropriate gifs and jpegs that enhance your message Material: assure the information youre providing is in a proper sequence and makes sense Save as an HTML web page.

9. Final thoughts Remember, you are the presentation. The PP youve created is merely a too used to present the information youre teaching. When you present, you will need to provide a printed copy of your PP. Choose handouts, not slides Choose 6 slides per page
