In addition to making copies in black and white and color, this machine also scans and faxes. All clients still have their same log-in so starting your session is familiar. Additionally, a default e-mail address has been entered for each client to use for scanning purposes. If you are part of a team office, you can enter any other e-mail address manually. All scanned documents will be sent to the e-mail you select as a PDF file, then you can send it anywhere. Faxing is also quick and easy with the fax function. All faxed document(s) produce a confirmation page that copies the first page of your sent fax so that you know exactly what you sent and to whom. About the Artist featured in our Lobby… Steven Schnur, the artist whos work adorns our first floor lobby, is a lifelong resident of Scarsdale, NY and is a father of three. He has devoted the past thirty years of his life writing for adults and children. His two dozen published books range from picture books and middle grade readers to novels and essay collections. Mr. Schnur is currently a member of the writing faculty at Sarah Lawrence College. His photographs have been exhibited widely in New York. His current show, April in Paris, is part of a larger collection, Camera Work: 2008, published last year. Because August is one of the hottest months of the year here in Connecticut. Heres some interesting facts about our sun… The suns light takes approximately 8 minutes and 18 seconds to reach earth. If the sun were a hollow ball, you could fit about 1 million earths inside of it. The sun, at present is made out of 70 % hydrogen, 28% helium and everything else amounts to less than 2%. Fusion, the same as a hydrogen bomb, powers the sun. The sun is about 5 billion years old and is expected to last another 4.5 billion years. The movement of sunspots indicate that the sun rotates once every 27 days at the equator, but only once every 31 days at the poles. The sun contains 99% of all mass in our solar system. During a solar eclipse, local temperatures can drop up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The suns surface is approximately 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. PES Receives New Technical Upgrades PES continues to upgrade our technical equipment to better suit our Clients needs. PES has recently purchased a Samsung multifunction machine which records DVDs and dubs VHS for those with older presentations. An additional upcoming upgrade includes both conference rooms becoming equipped with wireless internet access.
