dmg Radio Australia is a 50:50 joint venture between Daily Mail and General Trust and Illyria. DMGT has substantial media interests in the United Kingdom and other international markets. Illyria is the private investment vehicle fronted by Lachlan Murdoch. This partnership makes our growth and development possible. for our part, we intend to repay their faith in us with exceptional profitability as we build Australia’s greatest radio and digital media company.

4 the dmg story… dmg Radio Australia was founded in Adelaide by Paul Thompson and its development in Australia has been driven from a platform of acquisitions of existing stations and through licence auctions dmg Radio Australia is now powered by a team of over 700 staff

5 keeps going… 1996 dmg Radio Australia purchases the Broadcast Media Group and radio station Fiveaa in adelaide. This is followed by the purchase of Rural Press’s radio assets and becomes dmg regional radio with a total of 57 regional radio stations. 2000 sydney fm licence purchased - $155 million - Nova 969 to air on April 1, 2001 2001 melbourne fm licence purchased - $70 million - Nova 100 to air on December 3, 2001 2001 brisbane fm licence acquired in a 50% joint venture with ARN – $67 million The New FM to air on October 18, 2001 2002 perth fm licence purchased - $25 million - Nova 937 to air on December 5, 2002

6 and going… 2002 sunshine coast licence fm purchased - $8.5 million - hotfm 91.1 to air on October 31, 2003 2002 central coast fm licence purchased - $13.5 million - Star to air on March 16, 2004 2003 adelaide fm licence purchased - $24 million - Nova 91.9 to air on August 31, 2004 2004 sydney fm license purchased - $106 million - Vega 95.3 to air on August 1, 2005 2004 brisbane fm licence purchased - $80 million - Nova to air on April 4, 2005 2004 melbourne fm licence purchased - $52 million - Vega 91.5 to air on October 17, 2005

7 and going… 2004 dmg Regional Radio Network sold - excluding central coast 2005 sunshine coast licence sold 2009 novanation and koffee digital stations launched in April 2009 DMGT formed a 50:50 partnership with Illyria – the private media investment company of Lachlan Murdoch 2010 DMG Radio moves to a flexible advertising model for Nova in March. The network retains a commitment to short commercial breaks of two ads in peak sessions while at the same time expanding the offering to other sized breaks across the workday and weekends. 2010 DMG Radio Australia launches Classic Rock 95.3 FM and Classic Rock 91.5 FM in March

15 Nova Nova is the newest national radio network, targetting Australia's year olds and reaching in excess of 2.6 million weekly listeners. Nova launched in Sydney in April 2001 with a promise to 'sound different' and offering a unique and compelling low clutter environment for listeners and advertisers alike with never more than 2 ads in a row. While retaining ad breaks of 2 in key breakfast and drive environments, the network now offers clients greater flexibilty by also having the option to advertise in longer breaks of up to 7 units. Nova remains committed to low clutter environments, playing 40% less commercials than our competitors and extended blocks of stopless nova music.

20 Classic Rock brand Launched in March 2010, Classic Rock FM are the only dedicated, pure Classic Rock stations servicing Sydney and Melbourne. As the name suggests, Classic Rock is all we play, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Classic Rock is timeless. It's arguably the body of music that is the greatest ever made. Classic Rock is a celebration of artists like U2, AC/DC, INXS, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Barnes and Led Zeppelin. While the station will appeal to all lovers of Classic Rock, it primarily targets a demographic with equal appeal to both male and females. Sydney's Classic Rock 95.3FM features Maroon for breakfast and Classic Rock music all day. Melbourne's Classic Rock 91.5FM features Dicko and Dave for breakfast and Classic Rock all day.
