2 It can feel like a tsunami but it IS worthwhile to resist temptation.

3 Benefits of resisting temptation:

4 How do I resist temptation?
Know and use the Word I Corinthians 10: 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

5 Flee and pursue…say NO to this and YES to that
2 Timothy 2:22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Turn the volume down… up

15 Do we sometimes steal the bait and avoid the hook, hence we get away with it? Is this what feeds temptation?

16 Can you tell us why it is good to have a spiritual partner / friend to be accountable to? i.e. confess your sins to one another daily …

17 We are meant to live in Christian community
We are meant to live in Christian community. So what’s the role of Christian brothers and sisters in helping each other to not give in to temptation?

19 We know we need to flee but we still do it. E. g
We know we need to flee but we still do it. E.g. smoking—we know it’s bad, but we still do it. Why’s that?

20 I have a work colleague who is a Christian who has been unfaithful and wants to restore things but simply cannot tell his spouse due to the fear it would break her heart. How do you counsel them?
