1. Because We Were Baptized The Scriptures Plainly Teach That: In Baptism the Penitent Believer Receives Remission of Sins. (Acts 2:38) In Baptism the Penitent Believer Finds a New Life in Christ.

2. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED Rom.6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

3. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED Gal.3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 2 Cor.5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

4. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE Rom.6:12-13 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED Rom.6: 3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 There- fore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

6. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE Col.1:13-14 For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

7. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE Eph.4:22-24 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

8. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED THERE SHOULD BE UNITY IN CHRIST "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ" (Gal. 3:27) "for you are all one in Christ."

9. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED THERE SHOULD BE UNITY IN CHRIST Acts 2:47 Col. 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church;... Rom.12:4-5 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Eph.4:4

10. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS SHOULD WORSHIP GOD "they continued steadfastly in the apostles! doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking bread, and in prayers." (Acts 2:42) Matt.7:21 Luke 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"

11. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS SHOULD WORSHIP GOD Luke 22:29-30 and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS SHOULD HAVE REGULAR AND SYSTEMATIC BIBLE STUDY Matt.28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS SHOULD HAVE REGULAR AND SYSTEMATIC BIBLE STUDY Heb.5:12-14 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteous- ness, for he is a babe. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

18. BECAUSE YOU WERE BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS SHOULD SEEK THOSE THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE Jesus loved the church and "gave Himself for it." (Eph.5:25) "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." (v.26) "That he night present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." (v. 27)
