The number of students in 2013: 24,469 ( 20,642 full-time ). BME employed 2,793 persons, included 1,297 FTE for research and education. 969 full-time teachers - 714 qualified (73.7%). The annual budget of BME for 2012: 110 M EURO, of which subsidy amounted to 49 M EURO (45%). Webometrics 2012 ranks BME as the best Hungarian university, 277th globally. BME EIT’s activity is focused on Promotion of the research-development activity of the Faculty and the University; Supporting the utilization of research accomplishments (e.g. research spin-off) Initiating cooperation with other tertiary institutions, industrial companies and other domestic and international organisations; Offering project preparation and project management services to Departments and Research Groups; Assisting the successful participation of Departments and Research Groups in domestic and international tenders, and joint projects with companies. Federated Innovation and Knowledge Centre EIT BME EIT BME was c reated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of BME in 2009  to stimulate the research and development activity  to coordinate the research and development activities at faculty and university level  to contribute in the utilization of results.
