Non-farm Activities Out of every 100 workers in the rural areas in India,on 24 are engaged in non-farm activities. Non-farm activities are the activities other then agriculture. Small manufacturing, transport,dairy farming, etc. Are some non farming activities. Non- farming activities require little land. People who have a little capital can start some non farm activities.

There should be both fixed as well as working capital. Capital Well connected traders from village to towns should be increased for better trading. Trading Conditions needed for doing non farming activities

How can we increase non farming activities in Indian villages? Bank should provide loans at low interest rate to poor villagers. Free training to villagers about diff -erent skills. Government should provide facility for transporting goods from villages to cities.
