Point of View Point of view is the “eye” or narrative voice through which a story is told. It is not the author of the story. It is the voice through which the author chooses to tell the story.

Importance of the Narrator
There are two main different types of narrators: 1st person: one of the characters is narrating the story. 3rd person: the author is narrating a story about the characters and refers to them with the third person pronouns “he/she.” This point of view is subdivided into: Third person omniscient Third person limited

This style gives you the ability to be inside a character’s thoughts, feelings, and sensations, which can give readers a deeper experience of character.
