Manpower Recruitment One of the important area is to consider is the Manpower requirement in the Project. An effective and thorough manpower-recruiting process requires an employer to carefully choose the most talented employee This is with the target that he/she will positively benefit the research under the project as well as the organization.

How Recruitment is done:
The Principal Investigator has to apply for the recruitment with the details of the term of appointment , qualification and salary to be paid. Generally a guideline of designation, qualification and salary is followed in the Institute.

There are two types of recruitments:
ADHOC recruitment (Maximum for 89 days) Contractual recruitment (Initially for 11 months and can be extended further)

Processing of applications:
The following are checked during the processing of the application: The position (designation) with the qualification and recommended pay. Project Completion date Fund status If ok, forwarded for approval

After approval: The advertisement with the details is uploaded in the main website and also published in the Newspaper. The advertisement may be circulated to all in the Institute by uploading it in the Institute Notice Board. For ADHOC recruitment, it is not mandatory to publish the advertisement as in case of Contractual recruitment.

Before the Interview: A Selection Committee is to be formed. Generally the PI is the Convener, two expert members from the Department/Centre will be members and the HOD/HOC is nominated as the Chairman of the Committee. After the Interview: The Selection Committee Report with bio-data of the selected candidates and also the candidates kept in wait-list along with Attendance sheet is to be sent by the PI of the project to Research & Development section for the processing.

In Research & Development Section the documents of the candidates are checked and if ok, the selection committee report is processed for approval. After approval, the Offer Letter is generated and sent to the candidates.
