American imperialism at the turn of the century was influenced by cultural attitudes of superiority
White Man’s Burden- Rudyard Kipling Fill in the answers after we read the poem three times. Today we are going to look at Political Cartoons Magazines like Judge and Puck supported expansion (pro-imperialist). Magazines like Life and The World did not (anti-imperialist). Model from Mrs. Oleson- practice on YELLOW paper YOUR TURN- Go around the room and fill in for 2 different sets of cartoons from the different magazines NOW- you will create your OWN political cartoon ON the back of your cartoon 1.) why did you draw what you drew 2.) how does the cartoon support either ANTI/PRO imperialism
